SPHEPHELO Dlamini is a hardworking, honest man.

But he claims that while he has been able to get jobs, it is impossible to hold a position for more than a year.

He said he had lost three jobs in as many years – and that a sangoma told him he had been bewitched!

The sangoma told him that muthi had been planted in his yard and is causing him bad luck at work. Sphephelo said since he lost his last job three months ago, he’s been battling to find another one.

The desperate 24-year-old man from Folweni, south of Durban, said the sangoma needed R1 300 to get rid of the muthi, but as he is unemployed, it is impossible to get the money.

He appealed to Good Samaritans for help.

Sphephelo said he landed his first job in 2012 as a petrol attendant, but the manager accused him of theft and he was fired.

Soon he got another job and worked as an agent but he barely finished five months before he was retrenched.

His last job was as a street sweeper in his kasi but after three months, his supervisor told him that the number of workers had to be reduced and he was among those who were let go.

Sazi Mhlongo, the president of the South African Traditional Healers Association, said Sphephelo should immediately contact a good sangoma.

“He should at least find someone who can cleanse him, and remove the dark clouds that prevent him from prospering in life.

“Going around asking for the removal of the muthi will cost him a lot of money.”
