Thembi Seete showed up and showed out at this season finale of South African Idols.
After being a judge on the show for two years, her fashion game this year was out of this world. Throughout the weeks in the music competition show, fans have been spoilt each week as she stepped on the panel in a different masterpiece leaving us gasping for more.
Thembi has mastered her unique style. Each outfit tells a story with every episode. As a judge, her plethora of achievements in the music industry has her being a unique addition to the judging panel, from her contribution to the iconic music group Boom Shaka still carrying its legacy through her.
The success of the group in the 90s saw her cementing herself in new spaces from co-hosting the dance show Jika Majika on SABC to subsequently joining the canned eTV soapie Rhythm City as Bongi. In 2020, she brought to life another popular television role as Gladys in Mzansi Magic's hit telenovela Gomora and made a cameo in the Netflix original Kings of Joburg.
Not only did we tune in to keep abreast with the competition but to peep into what ethereal ensemble she’s clad in. With the 19th season of the show ending, viewers will witness the top two contestants, Princess McDonald and Thabo Ndlovu, battle it out for the top spot.
Her latest look had her more than three million followers in awe in a goddess-inspired gown. She captions the post: "I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each one of you for the incredible support and effort you've put into making sure I look the part. Your dedication and hard work have not only helped me project the right image but have also made my work and life so much easier."

1. Ethereal look
Exuding goddess energy, Thembi wore a custom-made gown a fusion of a corset and partially pleated skirt.
2. Tay Tay
Channeling her younger self during the Boom Shaka days, Thembi had to remind us that she still got it.
3. The purple rain
"All colors are just colors, but purple seems to have a Soul. When you look at it, it’s looking back at you," she wrote under her purple look.
4. Barbiecore
The Barbiecore era is here to stay and Thembi had to take part in it.
5. The bridal look
Her gowns tell a story. This look included embroidery, beads and dramatic elements.
6. The mermaid dress
Thembi is a lover of snatched corseted gowns and this dress was no different. Topping it off of a floor-touching ponytail.
7. Yellow dramatic number
She stunned in a yellow jumpsuit with dramatic sleeve elements.
8. Black dress
Exuding elegance, she gave glimpse of her black dress she wore during the show.
"I decided to channel Chocolate Marilyn Monroe energy. Black is always elegant; you can never go wrong. Every queen deserves a little Black dress [with] touch of gold and silver," she wrote on Instagram.
9. Feeling springy
Orange is the new black. Thembi rocked a floral blazer with an orange pants, completing her look with sleek hair.
