The most coveted fashion showcase of the year, The Met Gala 2024, took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning (South African time). For the fashion-obsessed girlies search no further because 'our' Tyla ate and left no crumbs.
She stood out in a sea of starlets who went to extreme measures to interpret this year's theme, 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion'.
Wearing a sculptural dress that resembled a statue made out of sand, Olivier Rousteing creative director of Balmain was inspired by the sands of time.
Speaking to Vogue magazine, Olivier explains, "The inspiration behind this creation stemmed from a desire to redefine boundaries and transform a transient material into an everlasting masterpiece".

Watching as the bodyguards gently carried her up the stairs, the pop star playfully giggles in true Tyla style. In an interview with Vogue she had this to say, "So when Balmain first showed me the idea and sketch , I just knew it was perfect. The idea was crazy and I loved it."
To complete the look she wore a dainty neckpiece by Alexis Bittar and an hourglass purse fashioned by Balmain.
