How you dress and present yourself determines how people address you, so, you want to make a positive first impression.

There is much versatility when it comes to style. You might enjoy your formal suit and tie, or perhaps something more casual. Whatever it may be, you are free to create a look that is most suitable for you.

You might find yourself lacking an aspect about your aesthetic. Whether its upping your shoe game or updating some of your outerwear. Don't  despair, we've got you! Here are five tips to elevate your style, inspired by Playboy brand manager Zaweer Ebrahim.

1. Accessories

We cannot stress this enough, you need accessories in your life! Get yourself a pair of shades, a watch, a side bag, a hat, or a couple of rings. Accessories magnify your look, giving you an additional touch apart from the threads.

"Think of it as adding extra toppings to your style Sundae," Zaweer says.

Casper Nyovest is one South African celebrity who always has the finest accessories on. He's known to rock statement watches, neckpieces and sunglasses.

2. Confidence

Your look can say it all but if you not feeling yourself, then no one else will! Make sure that your aura compliments your look. Walk up straight, speak boldly, keep a smile on your face, be fearless and own every moment. If you look good, then you should feel good!

As for confidence, Oscar Mbo always seems to have his head in the game. Killing his DJ-ying sets and effortlessly stylish outfits.

3. Scent

What you wear can be neglected if you do not smell good, no matter how stylish you look. When you enter a room, your aroma should be distinctive from every other smell.

You should be careful though with the type of fragrance you use and the quantity you apply. You do not want people sneezing and irritated by your strong scent. Keep a musky fragrance with a soft, soothing and lasting smell and apply a considerable amount.

At the recent launch of Bathu's latest sneaker range Ndofaya, Kwaito star and former Boom Shaka member Theo Nhlengethwa's fresh cologne was positively noticeable.

4. Be bold

Play around with a few ideas, take risks, stop playing it safe, do something different and be confident about it. Maybe you have had black hair your entire life, and you want to try out a new colour or maybe you would like to rock a leather outfit from head to toe.

Whatever you have been yearning to try, this is the time to do it! Pull up to the club with a tuxedo or wear a bright hat at the office on a sunny day. Whatever it may be, make sure it separates you from everyone else in the room and wear it boldly.

Lasizwe is known for always grabbing his audiences attention. He goes beyond expectation when it comes to his looks and does not mind getting a face glam or changing his hair colour every once in a while. You can never know what to expect from him.

5. Uniqueness

Have you ever had to avoid certain stores because it felt like everyone else is shopping there and buying the exact same thing? Unfortunately, you cannot stand out if everyone else looks like you. You need something that is unique about your aesthetic, something people can remember you with. Avoid following too many trends and try to set some of your own. Use your hands and see what you can design from scratch. Just because everyone else is not wearing it does not mean you would not look good in it.

When it comes to uniqueness, Mörda is one of the celebrities that always standout. You may not know what his wearing or how much it costs but he will surely look good in it.
