It's been two years since their world fell apart. Connie Ferguson lost the love of her life to a Covid-19 related illness just two years ago.

Business mogul Connie Ferguson pays tribute to her husband, late actor and filmmaker Shona Ferguson, on the second anniversary of his passing.

Shona Ferguson was a respected figure in the film industry and passed away in July 2021. He was 47.

The news of his passing sent shockwaves through the country.

The Fergusons were a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.

In a two-post series, Connie penned a lengthy heartfelt message to her late husband, saying Shona is still alive in her heart and mind. The first post included a series of pictures and videos with Shona dancing in one of the videos.

She's thankful to the late actor for teaching her to believe “because that is the only reason I’m still standing today”.

“My love, I can’t believe today marks the second anniversary of your transition! Time has become so strange to comprehend. You’re still so alive in my heart and in my mind and in the memories we shared. I still feel your presence so much, but the thought of never seeing you in your physical form again overwhelms me from time to time. But the Lord has cuddled me and our beautiful family in His arms, and we continue to move, to hope, to dream,” she writes.

Reminiscing on the good old days, the filmmaker says the Fergusons continue Shona’s legacy by doing the things he loved such as travelling, eating his favourite food, listening to his favourite music, laughing and more.

“Yes, we laugh a lot! And every time we do, we can literally hear the echo of your laughter in the midst of ours! You are just unforgettable, man! Truly one of a kind. God loved me so much he gave me you, and although it seems like it was only for 20 years, it was for eternity, because a love like ours never dies. Keep resting my skat, till we meet again,” says Connie.

The late producer is survived by his wife and two children, Alicia Ferguson and Lesedi Matsunyane Ferguson, and his beloved grandson Rowena Cai Tshiamo Malema.

He produced the likes of Kings of Joburg, The Queen, amongst other loved films.
