As SuperSport United are expecting to release players, they are also looking at beefing up their squad with new talent that they feel will help them in all their tournaments.

SuperSport will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup as they finished third in the DStv Premiership in the recently ended season.

A Siya source in Swaziland has stated that Matsatsantsa a Pitori are potentially interested in bringing in two Swazi international midfielders ahead of the new season. The source indicated that the two could be Mxolisi Mkhontfo from Green Mamba and Mbabane Swallows' Khakwe Thwala.

"Yes, it's true. SuperSport United have enquired about the two midfielders. They play for two different teams but they are both good," said the Siya source.

"Actually, they are young and very good. It will be a good move for SuperSport United if they can sign them. At the moment, I am not sure whether they will be going for trials or they are signing them straight away. Right now, they are part of the national team that will play against Togo in the Afcon qualifiers this weekend.

"So, I am not sure when they are travelling to South Africa because they also have to go to the COSAFA Cup as well," said the source.

Mbabane Swallows General Manager Sandile Zwane confirmed interest from SuperSport United in their midfielder, Thwala.

"Yes, it's true. It's actually good news to us as we love to see our players playing outside the country," Zwane told the Siya crew.

"This would improve our national team Sihlangu. We have a culture of exporting players to the outside world so we are not in any way going to break that," Zwane concluded.

If the deal goes through, this won't be the first time Swazi stars have played for SuperSport United. In the past there were winger Tony Tsabedze, striker Phinda Dlamini and midfielder Dennis "Yuki" Masina, who have at different times all played for the Pretoria side.
