Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates have been warned that their reported quest for an exciting PSL winger won't come cheap, the Siya crew has been informed.

Soccer Laduma had revealed how Pirates and Sundowns were interested in AmaZulu's Tshepang Moremi and that the Brazilians were leading the race for the winger.

Now, Siya sources close to the player and the club have indicated that interested clubs would have to meet his value which is between R10-12 million in order to prize him away from Usuthu.

"You know, for now it will be who is the highest bidder (between Pirates and Sundowns) because of the money issues. The club has evaluated the player and since he is still young and very talented his value is up there," said the Siya source.

"I understand it's around R10 million to R12 million. That's not bad for a player the team has developed by themselves from a junior (age). But as I have said, it will all depend on the highest bidder, as for now it's between Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates," the source observed.

Meanwhile, a second Siya source has stated that the 23-year-old player may be ready to move on depending on the club allowing him to leave.

"I don't think that would be a problem. As a player he is ready to move on. You know, he spent a season on loan last season at JDR Stars and that taught him how to work hard away from the club and that has also added to his value because now he has experience and knowledge of football," said the second Siya source.

"You can also see the way he plays this season. But now, it's all up to the interested teams to meet the club's demands and sign him," the source added.

This season Moremi has featured in 18 out of the 19 DStv Premiership league games that AmaZulu has played so far.

Soccer Laduma contacted Usuthu for a comment but no response was received by the time this story was published.
