Goodman Mosele’s move to Chippa United has proven to be a masterstroke for the midfielder, whose stock continues to rise at the Chilli Boys.
It came as a shock that Orlando Pirates decided to make use of their mutually beneficial relationship with the club from Gqeberha at the start of season when Mosele was loaned out for the 2023/24 season.
The 23-year-old by his own admission has had some off-field troubles, but performed exceptionally well whenever called on by coach Jose Riveiro.
Rather than view his move to the Chilli Boys as a setback, Mosele has made the most of the game time provided and has performed with aplomb.
So far, he has amassed 17 appearances in all competitions for the side coached by Kwanele Kopo and Thabo September, which is more than his total appearances for Pirates last season - and his Man of the Match award against Richards Bay on Wednesday evening was his fourth in total for Chippa.
Mosele does have a long-term contract in place with the Buccaneers, who according to Siya sources will likely be calling him back from his loan spell at the end of the season.
So far Mosele has featured in all but three matches for the Chilli Boys in this campaign.
