Mamelodi Sundowns' dominance has had neutrals calling for a more competitive DStv Premiership title race and despite their perfect start already, a PSL coach's opinion hints that their rivals do have hope.
Sundowns have won the league title for six consecutive seasons and for the past few seasons, they have been so invincible, that the closing stages of the league campaign have become a forgone conclusion.

The Brazilians won the DStv Premiership title by 16 points last season, with Orlando Pirates coming second, while in the 2021/22 campaign they were also 16 points ahead of second-placed Cape Town City at the end.
In the 2020/21 season, the Tshwane giants finished 13 points clear of AmaZulu, who had finished second then.
Masandawana have had a perfect start to their season, as they won all their first three matches after thrashing Golden Arrows 4-0 on Tuesday.
However, Arrows co-coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi, who bemoaned a lack of experience for his side when losing, believes the current Sundowns team is not yet close to what they were last season.
"Honestly speaking, when you analyse Sundowns, Sundowns are not yet close to what they were last season," Vilakazi said in a press conference.
"There's only one thing that they try to do better (which) is to win the game irrespective of playing well or not.
"But because we didn't come to the party, I'm not sure if that's the true reflection of Sundowns going forward or whether in their next game they might get different results but they did well.
"(But they are) not yet in the standard of what they did last season," he said.

But for the league title to go down to the wire, the Brazilians' traditional rivals, Orlando Pirates and Chiefs, have to find a way to win matches even when they are not playing well.
