Cape Town Spurs head coach Shaun Bartlett has dedicated gaining promotion to the DStv Premiership to Clive Barker and revealed what lessons he received from the late former Bafana Bafana coach.
Spurs won promotion back to the DStv Premiership on Wednesday evening via the play-offs, as their goalless draw against Maritzburg United in the last round-robin game was enough to see them through.

Bartlett says it was "emotional" for him winning promotion to the topflight with a team he started his professional career with.
"You know for me it was very emotional coming back, the club I started my professional career with, so I knew what I wanted to do with this club and where I wanted to take it, with the support and help from everybody at the club," Bartlett told eNCA.
"It was quite emotional, the last couple of weeks have been emotional, so obviously with the passing of Clive Barker. So, for me there are two people I have to think about, one, our former kitman John Hendricks and Clive, obviously I dedicate this to them as an achievement of my own, for being part of my journey," he said.
The former Kaizer Chiefs striker and assistant coach continued and said that he has learned from Barker, who passed away on Saturday, June 10, aged 78, to enjoy every moment, because you never know when it can be taken away from you.
"Last night it was about getting the promotion but if you see the reaction of the players and generally also around the squad, one thing that I took from Clive is to enjoy every moment," Bartlett said.
"Enjoy everyday because this is something that can be taken away from you very easily. I always say to the players, 'Give your best and God will do the rest'. So far, everything has been working according to plan," he added.
