An investigation has been launched after a football coach reportedly punched one of his players during a training session this week.

According to the Daily Mail, officials from Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) have opened an investigation amid reports that a player in the A-League was attacked by his manager.
The incident was believed to have taken place this week after things got heated between a coach and his player during a training match, in which the manager was involved.
A statement from the PFA on Thursday confirmed that inquiries into the incident have been made.
"The PFA has received reports of an alleged incident and is making inquiries," a PFA spokesman said.
Chief of Australia's top division, Danny Townsend, has said he is "awaiting feedback" from the club thought to be involved after being informed of the matter.
Coaches and players clashing is not an uncommon occurrence in football, with arguably the most famous example being Sir Alex Ferguson's dressing-room skirmish with David Beckham in 2003.

In a fit of rage, the Scotsman kicked a boot that ended up hitting Beckham in the face following an FA Cup tie against Arsenal, leaving the midfielder requiring stitches.
