An African star has caused controversy yet again after it was confirmed that he is going to sign for a new team, his fourth club of the season already.

Egyptian Amr Warda has been confirmed as the latest signing for Greek side Panserraikos, with the winger joining the Greek Super League side on a free transfer.

On the surface, it may seem as though this is a regular signing of a player without a club. However, the 30-year-old is now set to play for a fourth club in the 2023/24 campaign.

During the off-season, the 30-cap Egypt international initially bid farewell to Europe as he made his way from Cypriot side Apollon Limassol back to north Africa to sign for Raja Club Athletic.

He was in Casablanca for just 13 days before the Green Eagles decided to part ways with him, and he would return to Cyprus to sign with Doxa Katokopias.

This time, he would stay for a total of 15 days before cutting ties with the European outfit and miraculously returning to his home country, where he inked a deal with Pharco.

Once again, however, he did not stay for long as the Egyptian side decided to terminate his contract for his failure to show up to training, and he now finds himself returning to Greece two years after originally leaving the country, having spent six years playing for various clubs there from 2015.

After his departure from Pharco, Warda cited mental health issues as the reason why clubs have been so quick to let him go.

"What happened was that I signed with Raja and the next day, I was at the hospital and stayed there for 15 days suffering from continuous panic attacks," he told MBC Masr.

"The reason I stopped training is that I have been receiving psychological treatment for depression for some time, and they [Pharco] knew I had mental health issues."
