What's the story?

Thembinkosi Lorch's debut for Mamelodi Sundowns was against his former side Orlando Pirates, after making the switch to the DStv Premiership leaders.

Lorch may not have had his best game but was still cheery enough to greet and show love to his former Pirates teammates, especially young Relebohile Mofokeng who admires "Nyoso".

Relebohile Mafokeng's moment with Thembinkosi Lorch

The headline DStv Premiership match came from a sold out Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday night, as 10-man Pirates held Sundowns 1-1.

Masandawana had a numerical advantage for most of the second half when the Buccaneers midfielder Miguel Timm was given his second yellow card in nine minutes, and they then claimed the lead in the 76th-minute through Marcelo Allende.

Pirates earned a penalty just a few minutes later and defender Thapelo Xoki stepped up to convert from the spot to deny Sundowns a chance to extend their lead at the top of the league standings.

Lorch was given his full debut by Rulani Mokwena, playing just over an hour before being replaced by midfielder Sipho Mbule. Despite not having his best game, Lorch seemed in good spirits after the match, taking time to greet his people over at the Buccaneers.

The 30-year-old was very happy to see Pirates' teenage sensation, Relebohile Mofokeng, with the two embracing and linking arms to have a quick conversation.:

The link-up between Lorch and Mofokeng brought a smile to quite a few fans online, with many Bucs fans hoping that Mofokeng will take over Lorch's role in the team:
