What's the story?
West Ham's dead ball specialist, James Ward-Prowse shared his opinions on a compilation of free-kicks taken in the DStv Premiership in recent times.
Free-kicks from the likes of Aubrey Modiba, Ronaldo Maarman and Keagan Dolly impressed Ward-Prowse, who is arguably the most prolific free-kick taker in the English Premier League.

James Ward-Prowse comments on DStv Prem freekicks
Midfielder James Ward-Prowse recently sat down with SuperSport TV, who asked him to review a compilation of free-kicks taken in the DStv Premiership from the 2022/23 and the current 2023/24 seasons.
Ward-Prowse is lethal over the dead ball and the former Southampton skipper has scored a staggering 17 direct free-kicks in the Premier League, one away from Manchester United legend David Beckham's record.
The Hammers star was left impressed by the efforts from the DStv Prem ballers and will likely take some notes here and there to implement on the field for his East-London club.
Starting with Keagan Dolly's effort at the FNB Stadium last season against TS Galaxy, an unstoppable curler that wowed Ward-Prowse:
"I quite like the set-up with the roll and the stop, he's gone to the goalkeeper's side as well. I don't care whether the keeper is standing there or not, he's not going to reach that," he says.
He was also left impressed with Aubrey Modiba's strike against Cape Town City in last season's first match at the DHL Stadium.
"Ah nice. It's weird watching a left-footer because I'm always on the other side, but, [there's a] good shape on it and height. It's so satisfying when you see that, lovely. That's quality, that," he added.
Due to the venom behind the shot and the good shape, Ward-Prowse rated Ronaldo Maarman's strike as the best from the five he was shown.
