A leaked image shared by the reliable Footy Headlines, shows the special adidas boots that are set to be worn by Lionel Messi at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The boots do resemble the F30 boots by adidas, which were worn by Messi in the 2006 showpiece in Germany.

Messi will hope bow out at the showpiece in style, wearing gold boots like Zinedine Zidane did in his swansong tournament in 2006.

Lionel Messi, who'll be playing in his last FIFA World Cup tournament, will hope to go one better than 2014 and win his nation a World Cup crown wearing an unreal pair of gold boots.
According to @limited.boots on Instagram, Messi is set to wear the Adidas X Speedportal Leyen boots. As per Footy Headlines, these boots pay homage to Messi's F30 cleats that he wore in his first World Cup in 2006.
The colourway of these limited-edition boots are inspired by the gold of the FIFA World Cup trophy and the colours of Argentina's kit, blue and white, with a touch of black.

In terms of the design, they follow the pattern of the orange "El Retorno" boots, which Messi wore at Argentina's successful Copa America campaign in 2021.
