Lucas Radebe's son relives Ballon d'Or experience

Back in 2016, Leeds United, Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana legend Lucas Radebe presented the FIFA Fair Play award to Atletico Nacional of Colombia at the Ballon d'Or awards in Paris, France.

Radebe won the same award in 2000 for his fight against racism in football and was invited to the prestigious awards in 2016, brining his sons along for the ride.

Rhoo's son Primo described the event as the best night of his life in a podcast with DJ Sbu, who wasn't aware initially about Primo's father being Lucas Radebe.

The popular comedy content creator recalled the journey to the award ceremony, how the event went down and being star struck by the big names in football his father was interacting with.

"It was the 2015/2016 Ballon d'Or Awards, and he's like 'I want you to come with me,' he asked me and my brother. Best night of my life. Best night of my whole life.

"That's when I realised the class of soccer player he's in because he was invited as a FIFA guest, he's won a FIFA Fair Play Award before at the Ballon d'Ors so he's coming as a former winner. I grew into realising how powerful this guy actually is," recounts Primo.

He remembers how they were welcomed at the airport in true VIP style and were picked up in a fancy BMW 5 series, which took them to a private wing of the airport:

"Everyone who dealt with us was wearing a suite, we fetched my little brother, went to a five-star hotel, then the legends start coming in and he's [casually] greeting legends and it's him and David Beckham, him and Edgar Davids and Samuel Eto'o, like it's nothing!"

"I've met everybody in football today, Messi, Cristiano, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, that night, that's when I was like okay shap — my dad is that guy," continued Primo
