7 Days of Christmas with Sundowns

After paying visits to Witbank and Kimberly, Sundowns took to Tembisa and Khayelitsha to spread their Christmas joy.

The club has been visiting centers housing children living with disabilities to hand out t-shirts and a range of Christmas gifts for the kids to enjoy.

In Tembisa, the headed to the Winnie Mandela squatter camp to pay a visit to the Rakgadi Children's Home.

Run by Salome Hlako, who started the center in 2014, in order to look after other children living with disabilities after having one of her own, who sadly passed away last year.

The kids were in a jolly mood as Santa arrived to sing, dance and hand out gifts:

The club also headed to the Mother City to visit the Sibongile Day and Night Care Center.

Sundowns Ladies striker Lelona Daweti led the way in Cape Town and she emphasised the club's honourable family values:

"One thing about Sundowns is that they care about people, so what Sundowns is doing is... I don't want to say special but, it's a very honourable thing that they're doing for the kids," says Daweti.

As they've done in the other centers, the club brought along a host of gifts to hand out to the children at Sibongile Day and Night Care Center.

A representative of the center, Thapelo Xabanisa took the opportunity to thank the club for their kind gesture, as not many clubs take the time to give back to children living with disabilities:
