Retired goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo has been testing his acting skills on the small screen, appearing in a new Mzansi Magic Telenovela.
The show premiered early this month and Mhlongo took to Instagram to share a scene that he was involved in, proving to be a natural in front of the camera.

Brighton Mhlongo takes on acting
Brighton Mhlongo has branched out into acting, taking up a support role on "Champions", which follows Sne Modise (Jo-Ann Reynecke), as she challenges gender norms by leading her family's football club, Soshanguve Giants F.C.
The synopsis of this new show, further reads: "In a world where the turf is tough and the stakes are high, Sne Modise is a symbol of resilience and ambition in a male-dominated football empire. Battling the storm caused by sudden changes in her father, Washington's life, Sne is thrown into a series of challenges involving love and betrayal.
"While battling the intense drama, as the underdog, Sne stands at the top, determined to challenge the gender norms and lead the Soshanguve Giants FC to success. But the question remains: Can she come out on top in an arena where the rules of the game are constantly changing?" concludes the synopsis.
Mhlongo, who is also working as a TV presenter on eTV's The Morning Show and SuperSport, takes on the character of a retired footballer and owner of a club.
The star-studded cast also includes Sello Maake ka-Ncube, Tumisho Masha, Christopher, Kwenzo Ngcobo, Thembinkosi Mthembu, and Thato Dithebe.
