Dubbed a cheap option by the media and the public at large, Molefi Ntseki has hit the ground running after leading Bafana Bafana to a convincing 2-1 victory over Mali at the weekend.

SAFA is reaping the rewards of investing in the future. Ntseki has literally worked his way up the ranks at Nasrec. Starting as Amajimbos coach until his predecessors, Ephraim Mashaba and Stuart Baxter, roped him in as their right-hand man. Perhaps being a local boy also gives him the edge to easily instill his philosophy with his understanding of local football.

Although it was Ntseki's first match as Bafana mentor, his side showed signs of unity and more attacking intent. In preparation for the upcoming Afcon qualifiers against Ghana, and Sudan respectively, Ntseki laid has a good foundation.

There were plenty of positives to build on from the Mandela Challenge game, and that is a sign of a brighter future for Ntseki. Those who ruled him out before taking his charges through their paces should apologise to the man. When Bafana wins, doctors see few patients as blood, and stress levels remain normal.

Doubters are now singing Ntseki's praises, and they are now starting to believe in his coaching ability.
