Manchester United's UEFA Europa League round of 16 opponents have now been confirmed after they dumped FC Barcelona out of the competition on Thursday night.

The Red Devils' rich vein of form continued after they clinched a 2-1 victory over Barca in the second leg of their last 32 tie at Old Trafford, which saw them advance to the next round with a 4-3 aggregate win.

United had not beaten the Blaugrana in five games prior to that result, including defeats in the 2009 and 2011 UEFA Champions League finals, and manager Erik ten Hag was delighted, describing it as "a magnificent night".

After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Italian giants Juventus overcame French outfit Nantes to book their place in the round of 16 draw with 4-1 victory across the two legs, while record holders of the competition Sevilla (six titles), Jose Mourinho's AS Roma, and Sporting CP of Portugal were also among the eight sides to qualify for the next knockout stage of the tournament.

Arsenal, Real Betis, and Feyenoord were among the eight clubs that earned automatic qualification to the last 16 for topping their respective groups.

With the draw having now taken place at UEFA's headquarters in Switzerland, the fixtures for the next round have been confirmed, with United set to take on LaLiga outfit Real Betis.

Mikel Arteta's Gunners, meanwhile, will face off against Portuguese giants Sporting as they continue to push for domestic and continental success this season, while ex-Real Madrid boss Mourinho will be returning to Spain when His Roma side does battle with Real Sociedad.
