In shocking news, African superstar Sadio Mane is said to have left a Bayern Munich teammate bleeding in a punch-up following the club's recent 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Winger Leroy Sane's lip was left bleeding after a dressing-room bust-up with Mane on Tuesday night, with other members of the squad having to separate the two players to stop the fight, according to Sky Germany.

The incident followed a bad day on the pitch after they were handed a crushing 3-0 loss, jeopardising their chances of advancing beyond the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The pair's conflict reportedly began during the latter stages of the match when the duo were spotted arguing on the pitch.

The row is said to have then continued behind the scenes, with the reigning Africa Cup of Nations champion complaining about the way the 27-year-old spoke to him on the field, resulting in him losing his temper and throwing a punch.

The German outfit have it all to play for in the second leg, but now require serious intervention in the dressing room following the reported fight.

It is said that after Bayern landed back in Germany yesterday, the Senegal international had to be picked up privately, while Sane travelled with the team bus.

The Bundesliga giants are yet to comment on the matter, but it has been suggested that they are looking at all possible consequences, including a fine, a suspension, or even a contract termination.

Several Bayern stars are said to be critical of the 2022 CAF African Footballer of the Year for his actions, and now do not expect him to remain at the club for long after what has arguably been an underwhelming debut campaign following his £35 million (R805 million) move from Liverpool in June 2022.
