Paris Saint-Germain have now reportedly informed another five of their star players to find new clubs, including Neymar!

The French giants will kick-start their 2023/24 campaign on Saturday, but a team makeover looks short of completion, with more ins and outs expected to take place before the window closes on 1 September.

While most of the news around the club has centered on Kylian Mbappe's uncertain future at the Parc des Princes, the first-team squad requires some serious reductions, with Transfermarkt indicating that there are currently 39 players on their roster, although this also includes academy players who took part in their pre-season tour.

As such, the decision-makers at the club have identified five players they have deemed surplus to requirements, with Neymar's inclusion coming as little surprise given the increasing speculation around the Brazilian's future.

According to RMC Sport, Marco Verratti, Juan Bernat, Hugo Ekitike, and Renato Sanchez have also been told to look for moves elsewhere as they are no longer counted on, with the report claiming meetings were held with each of those players by manager Luis Enrique and sporting advisor Luis Campos.

Neymar was reported to have already told PSG he wants to leave before the window closes, although this was denied by his father earlier this week.

FC Barcelona, Chelsea, and a sensational switch to Major League Soccer have been mooted as potential destinations for the Selecao talisman.

Verratti, who was initially linked with Liverpool, is now the subject of interest from Saudi Arabia, with Al Hilal having submitted a proposal worth up to €45 million (R937 million).

However, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is said to have no intention to sell the Italian for that fee, expecting an amount in the region of €80 million (R1.6 billion) instead.

Premier League outfit Everton are believed to be keen to sign Ekitike and talks over a loan deal are ongoing between the two teams, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Parisians are said to be looking for a total package of €35 million (R729 million), with an option to buy clause likely to be included in the initial loan agreement.

Portugal international Sanches is reportedly on the radar of a number of Serie A clubs, while Bernat has attracted little interest so far.
