South African striker Lars Veldwijk has been spotted partying on a yacht after his recent suspension from the South Korean top flight for drunk driving.
The story
The Suwon FC star was arrested for drunk driving in southern Seoul in the earlier hours of 7 August 2023. According to Korea JoongAng Daily, a sobriety test showed that the marksman's blood alcohol content was over 0.08 at the time – a consumption high enough for police to revoke his driving licence.

The incident has since caused devastating consequences, with the K-League slapping him with a 15-game suspension and a fine of 4 million won (R56 500) just three days after the incident.
However, despite having been ruled out for the remainder of the season as a result of his actions, the player has now been spotted, in an Instagram video posted this week, living it up with some friends on a party yacht in Korea.
Although it is unclear when the event actually happened, it certainly looked like a glamorous affair as attendees and vessel staff were seen rocking an all-white theme.
Veldwijk seems to be quite close with what appears to be the organiser, Raph Joo, who has previously posted a photo with the player on his Instagram, along with the caption: "Bromance".

According to Dutch newspaper AD Sportswereld, the 32-year-old has agreed to terminate his current contract on 30 September, which would end his three-year association with Suwon FC 12 months before his deal was originally set to expire.
