Mamelodi Sundowns are through to the Nedbank Cup round of 16 after an emphatic 6-1 win over La Masia.

With Mamelodi Sundowns having claimed a convincing 6-1 win over Las Masia in the Nedbank Cup last night, some supporters are super convinced that the scoreline brings back a lot of memories.

The story

Masandawana made light work of the second tier side, as a hat-trick by Gaston Sirino and goals by Lebohang Maboe, Terrence Mashego, and new signing Matias Esquivel ensured their path to the round of 16

It was a much changed team, as the likes of Ronwen Williams, Mothobi Mvala, and Teboho Mokoena played no part in the match due to their respective setbacks.

KickOff readers on Facebook cheekily noted that 6-1 is a familiar score, as it remains one of the heaviest margins Orlando Pirates have lost a game by.

"This score line looks familiar," says Rajah Rogger Ntuli.

"We nearly did a Powerlines FC," says Bongani Stober Mahlalela.

"After they fail to win this cup they will call it names. Now they rave of beating small team, we know it happens every year. Boom they will talk about the league being a major cup, I wonder why they paticipate in these cups if they are meaningless," says Makoti Mahlolo.

"La Pirates knows that score very well," says Tman Lenkwane.

"The score looks familiar, pain went straight to Orlando Pirates," says Valley Barnes.

"Sundowns and SuperSport United once beat Pirates with the same score, as a country we will never forget that," says Xolani Mxovas Mnisi.

"TS Galaxy is waiting for them," says Mayor Ga Malepe.

"La Masia players wanted to exchange jerseys with their PSL heroes after the game . What killed this sportmanship gesture in Mzansi? It was sad to see," says James Segoati.

"As long it is not 24-0, my heart is white," says Toni Legate.

"They are abusing small clubs," says Oscar Sithebe.

"The small teams should be fixtured against Chiefs or Pirates, not Sundowns,"says Gerby Darlington.

"Mxm this score is personal," says Ntombizimcelu'kiss Nyongande.

Meanwhile, KO readers also had they say on Khama Billiat's reportedly imminent return to Zimbabwe.

"It's normal for a footballer to return home when they are about to retire. Benni McCarthy, Shaun Barttlet, Shoes Moshoeu, Doctor Khumalo and others did the same thing before," says Given Lekoba Maphori.

"He wil return back to South Africa next season," says Wandile Mtyana.

"No better place than home, goodluck Khama," says Welcome Mudau.

"Just wondering if Chiefs' offer was that bad to a point now he’s looking to go back home! Allegedly, he couldn’t accept pay cut at Chiefs," says Mohoanyane Oa Chabana.

"He must be interviewed by the I Blew It team," says Sindiso Wongo.

"He is better than former South African soccer players who are homeless," says Sipho Chuma.

"He had no choice," says Eugene Wallace.

"No place is like home..welcome to Emerson Mnangangwas farm," says Nkay Bos.

"What went wrong at Supersport because we were told the guy had even started training with the club. Or Hunt was not impressed," says Sthembiso Khwela.

"He doesn't need money," says Aha Kgabo Lengwate.
