DStv Premiership stars have shown a different side to them this Valentine's Day, spreading the love in truly captivating ways.

Various players including Kaizer Chiefs veteran Itumeleng Khune, Cape Town City's Khanyisa Mayo and others took to social media to share how their special day went down, sharing images with themselves and their partners as well as words that would make your heart melt.

Usually when fans interact with their favourite footballers, it is in such an environment but on the significant day, the stars took a break from their professional duties to express their appreciation and gratitude and spend some time with their other halves.

Sekhukhune United star Linda Mntambo was one of those stars. He spent the night fine dining, gazing into the eyes of his other half, and sharing a dance with her as the charming sounds of jazz echoed its romance through the night's air, setting the mood for the pair.

"A beautiful night it was," he declared on social media.

Mayo, meanwhile, did not hesitate to declare his love to the world in both image and word form. He seemed to have gone all out with the spoiling, buying flowers, roses, creating a romantic setting by crafting the perfect date night for the two of them.

The lights were dim, the candles were burning as though it symbolised the eternal love the pair had for one another, the roses were present, and the wine was out as they celebrated their love in the most appropriate way.

Khune showed that love will live long in his household as he took to social media to wish his wife Sphelele a happy Valentine's Day, calling her his "hot stuff".

It was a term she seemed to have found very endearing as she replied to him: "Aaah thank you my handsome bear. Happy Valentines Day."

For a man that is as often as the keeper is int he spotlight because of his stature, the club that he represents, and everything he has achieved thus far in his lengthy, ongoing career, it would be considered by many to be a huge advantage to be able to come home to an environment jammed with love.

While other couples may have preferred the sanctity of their own homes and the romantic intimacy that comes with it, especially considering the occasion, Andile and Tamia Mpisane did something different, something not many people in the world are able to do.

The pair got dressed up to take the road in separate cars. Only, they weren't cars, they were SUVs. On top of that, they were far from average sets of wheels. Each of them stepped into different-coloured Mercedes-Benz G-Class, more popularly known as the G-wagon.

They drove close to one another before meeting up for a romantic encounter. What added to the beauty was Andile's declaration of love.

"You are the brightest star of my life. Without you, I would not endure the dark night. I love you," Mpisane wrote on social media.
