A DStv Premiership star has made an impact on the global scale with a LALIGA side showing strong admiration for his work.

Stanley Nwabali's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations has not gone unnoticed by the rest of the world, with Spanish club Cadiz referring to his form at the competition as "beast mode".

Their praise of the Nigerian shot-stopper comes after their very own Jeremías Ledesma put in an eye-catching performance during Cadiz's shock 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid last weekend.

The side compared his recent patch of form to Nwabali's at AFCON 2023, where he was one of the tournament's stand-out performers, helping the Super Eagles reach the final where lost 2-1 to Ivory Coast.

"He (Ledesma) learned from Nwabali in his beast mode at the AFCON,” the club wrote in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

After an exceptional tournament, the Nigeria goalkeeper returned to South Africa where he plays his club football for Chippa United.

"Learning as fast as the world is changing is what I do best. I’ve so much missed this family and I’m happy to be back to be of a great succour and do what I know how to do best," he said upon his return.

The Chilli Boys are set to take on Ravens in a Nedbank Cup round of 16 encounter on Saturday, and Nwabali will be hoping to once more put in a good showing in the post as his side try to progress to the quarter-finals.
