However, with the new MLS season set to kick off again in February next year, the 24-year-old seems to be back in his home country for what seems to be not much of a break.
The defensive midfielder was spotted working out and keeping in tip-top shape under the guidance of popular strength and conditioning coach Vusi Mavreka Hlabangwana.
From using resistance bands to run on the same spot and shuffle side-to-side as quickly as he can to sprinting in short bursts, he was involved in gruelling training that would plunge the average person into a deep sleep.
As hard and as challenging as the exercise may have been, it is sure to help him when he returns to America to pick up where he left off.
Blom made the move to the USA in January this year, and made 26 MLS appearances to help his side end in the top spot of the Western Conference to earn qualification into the playoffs in which they were beaten by Sporting Kansas City.
However, Blom is still said to have stamped his authority on the American league, and by the looks of it, he seems determined to continue making waves overseas!
