The story

The Bayern Munich forward is considered to be one of the most down-to-earth players that the sport has to offer. The Liverpool legend has long admitted that he isn't fazed about material things, such as luxury cars and expensive clothing and jewelry, but is interested in sustainable development for those in need.

According to German outlet Bild, the 2022 African Footballer of the Year is the highest-earning Bayern footballer, with a salary of €22 million (R410 million) per season, including bonuses. The former Southampton man appears to spend a sizable chunk of his earnings on giving back to the community of Bambali in Senegal, where he was born and raised.
