They told her she's too pretty to speak English the way she did, and he found himself having to use more of the Queen's tongue on a daily basis than he'd ever had before once he got to university.

UCT student Lebogang Ramonyai and YouTuber Vicky Vee Jonas share their experiences of struggling with anxiety when people kept picking on their English pronunciation and correcting them. 

“Coming from a high school where even during the English period we’d, you know speak, iSpitori I was not prepared for how hard it would be, transitioning to speaking English all the time. It was a struggle for me,” says Lebogang.
