He has been hogging the headlines for all the wrong reasons lately.

The Queen actor and father Sthembiso “SK” Khoza has made headlines again after he was dismissed from the Mzansi Magic telenovela.

The actor, who plays gun-slinging Shaka who is part of the drug dealing Khoza family, was let go and his contract terminated with immediate effect.

SK was dismissed following a report by City Press that he had allegedly assaulted his ex-fiancée Ayanda “Mandy” Hlongwane. It wasn't that long ago that he proposed to her during an Instagram live.

During the proposal on Instagram, SK told his followers that he has never met anyone who inspires him or loves him as much as Mandy does. “I love her like crazy. I can genuinely say that I’m in love.”

In the report on City Press, Ayanda had allegedly opened a case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm at the Fourways Police Station where he was arrested and later let out on R1000 bail.

National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane has confirmed that the 35-year-old actor was released on bail following his court appearance.

Mnet Channel Director for Local Entertainment Channels, Nomsa Philiso has also confirmed to Drum that SK has indeed been relieved from all duties on The Queen.

“Mzansi Magic confirms that we have been informed by Ferguson Films that SK Khoza will no longer form part of the cast on The Queen.”

This is not the first time that SK has received bad publicity.

Earlier this year, he was involved in a sex party scandal and a video of him and three naked ladies made its rounds on social media.

SK later apologized after the steamy scene where he was caught on camera cheering women on.

"My actions were unacceptable. I beg for forgiveness. I take full responsibility, especially at a time we are faced with a serious pandemic. I should have made better decisions. I need to do better. To everyone I have disappointed and hurt, I am truly sorry. I have put Ferguson Films, my family, and Mzansi Magic in a position I totally regret.”

In July this year, he also admitted having been abusive towards his partner. SK took to social media and admitted to being abusive towards Ayanda because he bottled his emotions up and took his frustrations out on her.

“Keeping things that break your spirit and hurt you inside isn’t always a good thing. I’ve come to realise that I’ve done so, and I ended up not realising that I was taking it out on my fiancée, Mandy Hlongwane,” he told his Instagram followers.

“Whenever I talked about what was affecting me, I didn’t address it in a calm manner, and in turn, I didn’t see that I was hurting her. I was being emotionally abusive towards her.”

SK has a child with Izangoma Zodumo sangoma Makgotso Lee-Anne Makopo, also known as Gogo Maweni.
