“I’m grateful for the gift of life. I’m making incredible progress and enjoying the much-needed break. One lesson I’ve learned is to slow down, smell the roses and savour each moment,” she posted.

In June, three months after the stroke, she said she was making progress and was able to speak again but needed patience.

“I’m proud of myself and I give thanks to God. Your prayers have been massively appreciated. I can talk now, although I need a little patience. I can read and I can write. So much love for me, makes me emotional. I am doing so well,” her post reads in part.

Earlier this year, her team announced that the Something Inside So Strong hitmaker suffered a stroke while she was in Germany for a performance.

She returned to South Africa where she received the necessary treatment. It was reported that as a result, her ability to communicate, in particular, her speech, has been impacted.
