Speaking to Drum, Reggie’s sister Mangi Molamu says he fell ill on Monday 23 October and left Joburg to go home to Mokopane, Polokwane.
“You know when you are not feeling well, sometimes you want to be home. I guess that is the case,” she says.
“He was feeling ill and he didn’t suffer for long but he must have felt something. He came home on Monday and died on Saturday the 29th,” she adds.
“It is truly sad, we will miss him for his kind heart and loving nature. At the moment we are still coming to terms with everything before we announce the funeral arrangements. But we thank everyone for the support.”

After graduating with a diploma from the University of Johannesburg in interior design, Reggie struggled to find work and took a liking to the fashion industry.
With no formal training in fashion, the self-taught talent finessed his way to being one of the top designers in the country.
