So, you’ve had those traffic fine notices stuck to the fridge for ages or sitting in your inbox, forgot to check the date, and now realise those fines are due asap. Now you’re faced with having to bother the boss for a day off work, and then the curse of long queues at the traffic department.
Thanks to Standard Bank it’s now a whole lot easier to pay traffic fines via their banking app. By using your phone and logging into the Standard Bank app you can control the time and place you pay your traffic fines.
So, how does it work?
All you do is follow these four easy steps to view and pay your outstanding traffic fines:
1. Log in to the Standard Bank app. Press ‘TRANSACT’ and select “TRAFFIC FINES”
The benefits are many:
- It's fast. With accurate search options you will be able to quickly find your outstanding fines.
- It's flexible. You can choose to pay all the fines at once or pay them according to urgency.
- You have the peace of mind that your fine can be paid any time anywhere, even if you are stuck with no data in a remote dorpie. You can conveniently pay at a traffic stop or while stationary at a roadblock.
- You have the guarantee of proof of payment, from the payment notification of your choice.
But how long will the payment take to reflect at the traffic authority? Once payment has been made via the app, the relevant traffic department should receive the funds within three to five days.
With the 2023/24 Festive Season Road Safety Campaign launched this past weekend, traffic authorities are extra vigilant. You will encounter numerous roadblocks and increased police presence, whether you’re heading to the coast or remaining in your province.
Knowing you have paid all your fines can alleviate the stress of seeing those blue lights up ahead.
For those people taking a road trip, along with servicing the car, and checking the tyres, jump on the Standard Bank banking app, search for your fines, and pay them.
Never queue to pay your traffic fines again, thanks to Standard Bank.
