GOGO loves football, and she is good at it.
Arisneth Makwela (74) from Mashimong in Hammanskraal, Tshwane is also a Rekgonne Gogos Football Team captain.
She said age is just a number as long as one leads a disciplined and healthy lifestyle.
Gogo Arisneth said on Wednesday, 9 August she will be displaying her skills as a goalkeeper in Hammanskraal, celebrating Women's Day in a local tournament.
She even played football in France in 2019, representing Gauteng.
"We played good football and beat other gogos with a huge score margin in Europe. I love football. It's not only about playing but keeping ourselves fit," she said.
Gogo Arisneth said the gym keeps her fit and robust and encourages other elderly people to participate.

"We encourage those gogos suffering from chronic diseases, especially high blood pressure, to come and join us.
"I would love to see us on TV, playing our beloved sport," she said.
She said they are appealing for football gear, including soccer balls.
Chairwoman of the Rekgonne Gogos Football Team, Marry Makgakge (70) said: "Arisneth is very straight and serious about the beautiful game. The game helps us to keep our health better."
Coach of the Rekgonne Gogos Football Team, Wilson Sekaja (65) said: "We are proud of Arisneth and her team spirit, most importantly her discipline."
Emily Temakgolo Mamogobo (49) said the gogos are a good example to the youth.
