THABONG cops in the Free State have launched a manhunt after a woman was gang raped at a party on Sunday, 4 September.
According to Captain Stephen Thakeng, at about 5am a 22-year-old woman from Thabong attended a birthday party and was sitting outside drinking beer.
“One man told her he loved her and instructed the woman to go to the toilet and he followed her. He raped her and three other male suspects took turns raping her,” Thakeng said.
He said after the ordeal, the incident was reported to the Thabong police.
A case of rape was registered for further investigation.
“The four suspects are still on the loose and the manhunt continues,” Thakeng added.
