THE biggest party this past weekend was the much anticipated annual Durban July and Mzansi celebs did not go there to play.
This year's theme was Out of this World and attendees served their best looks. From looking like they stepped out of an icy mystic movie with metallic silver being center stage to black and pink dominating, this Durban July was a feast for the eye.

Despite the much anticipated event dominating headlines this weekend, the spotlight swiftly shifted to a massive crash on the N3 Durban between Cato Ridge and Hammarsdale on Saturday, 1 July.
One woman was killed and 18 others injured after two trucks and a taxi collided on the N3 south.
Just as people were getting over the massive accident, Twitter streets were abuzz when the obituary of Mpho "Sdomane" Ntloge surfaced on social media, leaving social media users shocked.
Sdomane from Ga-Rankuwa was shot dead on Sunday night, 25 June in Mabopane, north of Tshwane. He gained popularity when he trended in 2021 when he went live on his Instagram page in an allegedly stolen car.
Meanwhile, zama zamas in Mpumalanga suffered a big blow when five suspects aged between 18 and 57 were caught for alleged illegal mining activities.
Mpumalanga police spokesman, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, said the suspects were apprehended by security officers in Lydenburg as they were reportedly found with gold bearing dust. He said the five are expected to appear in court on Monday, 3 July.
In Soweto, JMPD officials, community members, family and friends gathered at David Pine Multipurpose Centre in Dobsonville, on Sunday, 2 July to bid farewell to JMPD officer, Sibusiso Zikalala.
Sibusiso (38), who died off duty, was shot during an alleged altercation with a police officer in Braamfontein, Johannesburg on Monday, 26 June. A video of the incident went viral on social media.
He was described as a humble person who was always smiling and was never angry. Mourners also expressed sadness over the way Sibusiso was killed and how his death made waves on social media.

“Somebody kills our cop and goes on social media and say he asked for it. I don’t know what that's supposed to mean. Nobody has the right to kill anyone. Nobody deserves to die like that," said Amon Kganyago from JMPD.
Another story that made waves on social media was Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi's claims that King Misuzulu was hospitalised over suspicions of poisoning.
But on Sunday 2 July, the Zulu royal house said His Majesty "remains in perfect health and is not currently admitted at any hospital".
