TWO men were injured after their aircraft crashed on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Strand in the Western Cape on Wednesday morning, 1 June.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said various medics arrived to find the wrecked aircraft in the middle of the busy road.
“Two men were seen seated near the aircraft.
“Paramedics assessed the men and found that one had sustained serious injuries while the other had escaped with minor injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities were found,” Meiring said in a statement.
He said the patients were provided with pain-relief medication before being transported to Mediclinic Stellenbosch for urgent care.
“This incident’s details are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” Meiring added.
