VALENTINE'S Day brings joy to a madala, and his roses bring life to him.
Vincent Nadasen (60) from Laudium in Tshwane, who has been selling roses for 10 years on Church Square in Tshwane, told Daily Sun Valentine's Day was his favourite time of the year.
He said the day made him happy and boosted his business.
This because many customers want fresh roses to spoil their loved ones.
He said Valentine's Day draws people from different parts of Tshwane, and even those from ekasi come to buy his roses.
"We're busy with flowers. People love flowers. Flowers have become my best friends. Here I deal with fresh flowers," he said.

He said his customers were complaining about the high price but there was nothing he could do about it.
"Flowers and chocolates are working together," he said.
Vincent sells flowers from Mondays to Saturdays, and his cheapest flowers cost R50.
He said red roses were more expensive. The madala said flowers put food on the table for him. The father of three said he travels to Joburg twice a week to buy his flowers.
One of his customers, Tshidiso Makota, said he was buying flowers for his fiancée.
Jersey Mabala said he was celebrating his birthday and also Valentine's Day.
A happy customer, Onthatile Jikolo (19), said: "I bought the flowers for my mother as she loves them. It's a show of appreciation for what she's done for me all these years. I buy flowers here all the time.”
