WHENEVER Valentine’s Day approaches, men who don’t want to buy gifts for their partners usually joke that they will be attending the non-existent men's conference.
But it seems the conference now exists as Lesedi FM will give men a platform to get things off their chest and talk about their issues during Bua Monna Men’s Conference to be held at M1 Studio at the SABC in Auckland Park, Joburg.
The conference, which will be hosted by veteran radio presenter Thuso Motaung, will have powerful speakers such as veteran actor Jerry Mofokeng and health activist and Kaya 959 presenter Pitso Molemane, while others will speak on Saturday, 17 February.
Pitso said the conference will give men a platform to get things off their chest and get advice.
“Main purpose of the conference is to let men talk about any issues that affect them. There will be psychologists, financial experts, motivational speakers, pastors and many more to help them.
“We also want men to speak about their health issues as I’m also living with diabetes. Men are always afraid to disclose if they have diabetes or other diseases,” he said.

Pitso said they want to tell men that if they don’t talk about their health or financial issues, they will be inviting stress that will kill them.
Musicians Brian Temba and Lebo Sekgobela will heal men with their music. Brian told Daily Sun that he will perform inspirational songs to heal and inspire the men.
“I will have a conversation with the men as a man and father before and after my performance. Conferences like this are an opportunity I always want to have so that I can have a conversation with other men about life,” he said.
Other speakers will be TT Mbha and Dr Mashudu, and the conference will be co-hosted by Moruti Maine.
