FREE delivery services in and around the region of operation have helped a Tshwane businesswoman grow, sustain and maintain the business she runs.
Lesego Mpedi (35) from Soshanguve, Tshwane is the manager and founder of Mashaka Coop Egg Producers, a Winterveld poultry company that supplies eggs to the surrounding community and neighbouring areas through cash price purchases, a business strategy that has helped her business thrive.

Speaking to Daily Sun, she said the company allows customers to do credit purchases and that she uses a notebook to help her keep record of her customers who made these purchases.
"For example, if our clients want three trays of eggs on the 11th and they're getting paid on the 25th, we give them and allow them to pay later.
"The challenges I'm facing include heavy rains, which cause the eggs to decay inside the shelter. With the current weather, I'm always looking for ways to stay cool at all times," she said.
Asked how they maintained and sustained their business in the face of the bird flu outbreak, she said they were always prepared because they had access to all the medical services needed to care for their chickens.
Lesego has been attending many training classes to learn how to efficiently run and build her business. The company currently has five full-time employees.
"The National Agricultural Education and Training Strategy has helped me develop a performance improvement plan and implementation plan for future governance in poultry farming," said Lesego.
