LIKE any other parent, Nondlela Dhladhla would have loved to spend Christmas with all her kids.
Unfortunately, things turned out differently, because one of the children, who has a chronic illness, disappeared in July 2023.
The 56-year-old mum from Winterveld in Tshwane said her son Elias Skhosana (40), who has epilepsy, was last seen on the day he left with the Lesedi Choir members.
The sad mum told Daily Sun that the past few months have not been easy for her, and she had hoped for a miracle so that Elias could return home before Christmas, but that didn’t happen.
"I have no energy to do anything, I am dizzy, and I can’t even walk properly. That's because I keep wondering where my son might be. When my son left that day, I thought he'd return home, but I was shocked to hear that he was spotted at the FNB Stadium during an EFF rally. I'm still hopeful that he will be found alive. I won't give up hope," she said.
His aunt Palesa Sekwele (55) said the family is worried because he was on medication due to his condition.

"He grew up with epilepsy and has to take medication daily. We are worried about how he'll survive. Everyone in the family is worried," Palesa said.
She said that Elias is a very quiet person and might find it difficult to communicate with anyone regarding his situation.
"We're praying day and night that the police will find him alive. We pray for a miracle. We have not lost hope yet and we'll keep praying," she said.
Earlier, Maletlhogonolo Makgele, Regional GBV EFF Desk, said they were trying to find the missing Elijah while choir leader Tumelo Maokeng (30) said they searched for him at the stadium until 11pm but with no luck.
On the day Elias went missing, he was wearing black shoes, cream white trousers, a white and blue shirt and a black and green jacket.
Gauteng police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed that a missing persons case has been opened, but there is still no trace of Elias.
