FOLLOWING the devastating floods in KZN, Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube visited the Roosboom area in Ladysmith on Saturday, 30 December.
The official death toll following the flash floods that ripped through Ladysmith on Christmas Eve currently stands at 22.
The search for more bodies in the affected area continues.
It's alleged that at about midnight on Christmas Eve, 24 December, a riverbank along Bellspruit collapsed, causing severe flooding.
On Saturday, Dube-Ncube and KZN MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi, also visited the relatives of the 10 victims who are still missing after the devastating floods.
Premier Dube-Ncube said: "We are very saddened by the turn of events in our province and wish to extend our condolences to the families of the deceased.
"We currently have 22 fatalities. Last night there was a three-year-old child, and we stand at six who are still missing."
