CITY of Tshwane's A Re Yeng and Tshwane Bus Service (TBS) were attacked on Monday, 23 October.
The city's three buses were attacked, but police managed to arrest four suspects in connection with the bus attacks.
According to Tshwane MMC for Roads and Transport Katlego Mathebe, the TMPD and police have arrested four suspects.
She informed commuters and the wider public that A Re Yeng and TBS operations remain operational amid challenges.
"City bus operations remain operational amid challenges. The city will continue to forge ahead with the operations in line with the required and necessary support from the security cluster. We're facing relentless acts of criminality. Three of our buses were attacked on Monday afternoon," she said.

Furthermore, we will not yield to violence and criminality.
"Our services will continue with our security plans," she said.
She said A Re Yeng did not experience interruptions, and bus drivers attended to their posts as expected.
"TBS is scheduled to work its full normal operations and times. However, on Monday, only 46 out of 160-morning bus shifts were operating their normal time schedules. The city will follow due process and engage all bus drivers who refuse to carry out their duties," said Mathebe.
She called on the security cluster to maximise efforts to ensure safety and security.
"We'll monitor the operations closely and keep our commuters abreast of the developments," Mathebe said.
