THE couple got married in 2011 but have never had any peace since then.
This because the lovebirds, aged 40 and 41, are being tormented by a tokoloshe. And they said things got worse in the past two years.
They have claimed that the tiny creature dances on the roof, bangs on their doors and even chokes them in their sleep.
It also destroys their groceries sometimes.
The wife said they moved into their new home in the West Rand soon after their wedding.
“We had a big, beautiful wedding ceremony. The future looked positive. But things suddenly changed after we moved into our new house,” she said.
“There were strange footsteps in the middle of the night.
“At first we ignored them, but the sounds got louder.

“We could hear dance steps from the roof but when we went to investigate, there was nothing. We started to fight a lot, which was unusual.”
She said they decided to rent out their house and move to another area.
“We were choking in our sleep, and consulted with a prophet and sangoma. They said we were haunted by a tokoloshe. They tried to help us, but it didn’t stop,” she said.
“We thought moving into a new place would be peaceful, but it has relocated with us,” she said.
The husband said: “We struggled to conceive and my wife is now finally pregnant.
“We are terrified that this might harm our baby’s life should it continue ,” he said.
“The situation has also interfered with my work. Some mornings we wake up very tired – like we haven’t slept for days. We need help to get rid of it so we can go back to our house.”
Gobela Grace Ndlovu said the tokoloshe was an evil spirit sent by someone who was very close to the couple.
“This evil spirit is aimed at separating them. Its intention is to cause havoc within their marriage so they could fight each other and ultimately file for a divorce,” said Ndlovu.
She said it was possible for the couple to get help through proper cleansing.
