WHILE some families were scratching their heads on what to eat for Christmas, the bikers came to their rescue.

The Bonjour MCC Bikers donated food parcels to 13 families on Friday afternoon, 22 December.

The event took place at Dinangwe Lodge in Tweefontein A in Mpumalanga.

President Ngaka Joe Makua said all they want is for everyone to have something to eat at Christmas.

"We know that there are some families who have nothing to give their kids for Christmas. This kind of gesture always makes us happy that we have done something good. It's part of our charity run for the families in need," he said.

Bonjour MCC Bikers vice-president Vincent Boshielo said they have seen that members of the community are hungry, and no one wants to help them.

"Our goal is to make sure that these families have something to celebrate at Christmas like everyone else," he said.

The recipients said they were very grateful to the bikers because they really had nothing to enjoy their Christmas.

Cynthia Ngobeni (47) from Miliva said she and her two kids will have a wonderful Christmas.

"I didn't know what to get my kids on this special day. I did not have a plan, but now I can see that God always has a plan for his people. I am very happy," she said.

Thapelo Sethlanogele (31) said: "I have three siblings to take care of. I'm unemployed and the food parcels came at just the right time. I was scratching my head not knowing what to do, but everything is fine now."
