She has been renting a one room to a couple and the boyfriend burnt the shack after accusing his girlfriend of cheating when they came back from a tavern.
Girlfriend Nontobeko Kanono (36) said she had to run to her mother’s house when the argument started because she did not want to be stabbed for the second time.
Now the boyfriend is on the run.
Disebo said: “My grandmother had just died and I was at her place when I got a call about my burning shack. I had left my old school friend, Nontobeko Kanono and her boyfriend, who were my tenants. I was shocked when I heard that my shack had been set alight by her boyfriend. I have lost everything and I’m hurt. This is a double tragedy for me.”
Nontobeko said her boyfriend is an abusive man who can easily kill a person.
“We were from a tavern and when we got home he started accusing me of cheating on him. He said there was a man who was looking at me while we were at the tavern. I remembered how he stabbed me in the neck in March and I did not want to be stabbed again. I then left him and ran to my mum’s house. After hearing about the shack that burnt, e called and said he wasn’t finished and he will be coming to burn my mum’s RDP house. I don’t want anything to do with him anymore. I forgave him for stabbing me and my mercy nearly killed me. I want him to pay for what he has done to my friend’s shack,” said Nontobeko.
