Tavern shooting suspects: ‘They have nowhere to hide!’

accreditation

THE net is closing in on the suspects who are wanted for killing 16 patrons at Mdlalose’s tavern at Lahlumlenze in Orlando East, Soweto, on 10 July.

This is according to Gauteng police commissioner Lieutenant-General Elias Mawela, who gave an update after the police released the photos of the five wanted men.

Mawela said: “The net is closing on those ones. My deputy, General Khumalo, had a meeting with his counterpart in the country where these people are coming from and we have a commitment that we’re going to work together so that those people can be arrested and be repatriated to South Africa.”

The names of the wanted suspects are Sarel Lehlanya Sello, Tshepiso Elliot Radebe, Thabang Radikatara, Tshidiso Moleko, and Keletso Rabasotho.

Mawela remains tight-lipped on exactly which country the suspects have fled to.

“They can’t go anywhere. They are also being put on the wanted list by Interpol, so wherever they are, they must remain there until the police pick them up or they must just surrender. They have nowhere to hide,” said Mawela.
