KEAMOGETSWE Masike's suspension has been lifted with conditions.
Masike, who is the SRC president at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), was suspended by the university on 8 August 2023 for allegations of misconduct.
TUT management issued a statement on Thursday, 31 August regarding the lifting of the suspension.

The letter reads: "Your email of 24 August 2023, in which you request the upliftment of your suspension and formally undertake not to incite instability in the university, refers. In the light of your request, kindly be informed that your suspension is hereby uplifted with immediate effect but subject to the following conditions."
It further reads that in line with the request in his email, he's not allowed to take part in any SRC activities pending the finalisation of the disciplinary hearing against him.
"That you do not involve yourself in any unauthorised student protest action. That you do not commit any violation of the university rules and regulations or any misconduct. You are not involved in any action that disrupts the academic activities of the university and that you are not involved in any action that puts the name of the university into disrepute.
"TUT also said the upliftment of the suspension does not imply that you have been exonerated from any wrongdoing. Without prejudice, the university will ensure that you are provided with the charges and that the disciplinary process is expedited. Please note that if you contravene any of the above conditions, your suspension will be immediately reinstated," continues the statement.
Meanwhile, Masike alleged the university was trying to intimidate and silence him. He also alleged that they were trying to deter him from the real struggle which confronts the students.
He refers to one of the struggles being the appointment of a service provider called Izaga, which was appointed by Nsfas to facilitate the finances of the students.
Masike confirmed that the university has lifted his suspension pending investigations, but he hasn't attended a disciplinary hearing on the allegations which have been levelled against him.
"I'm strong like a lion in the jungle because students are happy to see me back, and participating in the picketing lines. I have been the only hope and voice which stood firm in challenging the status quo," he said.
Masike is calling for the board of Nsfas to be dissolved and investigated.
"Many of our students have not received allowances since June 2023. The university is pretending to be assisting students," alleged Masike.
He said he's back within the premises of the university and vowed that he would not be silenced.
