THE case against 49-year-old Agnes Segomotsi Setshwantsho has been postponed to 6 December for the continuation of her bail application.
Setshwantsho was arrested last Thursday, 16 November and made her second appearance before the Mmabatho Magistrates Court in the North West on Friday, November 22, for a formal bail application.
In an affidavit read by her attorney, Nhlanhla Mahlangu, Setshwantsho said she would not be pleading guilty to all the four charges levelled against her.
She is facing a charge of murder, two counts of fraud, and defeating the ends of justice.
Setswantsho's arrest is linked with the alleged plotting of the death of her relative for an insurance payout.
Through her attorney, she said that she does not intend to call any witnesses.
The state said they have only one witness for now, an Investigating Officer on the case, and did not rule out the possibility that it might call more witnesses as the case proceeds.

Beefing up reasons for her bail application, Setshwantsho said she has high cholesterol and type two diabetes and requires specific medication to keep her condition under control.
She said she has not been taking her medication ever since her arrest. Setshwantsho said the living conditions in the police cells were not conducive for someone with her medical condition and doubted that the facility where she is being kept could store her medication.
She said she has to take in regular intervals, five units in the morning, eight units in the afternoon, and 19 units at night.
“In light of the above, I will ask this honourable court to permit my release on bail. I'm not a flight risk and will not interfere with witnesses in the case.
"I will plead not guilty on this matter in that I deny the allegations against me and that given the opportunity by the trial court. I will canvass reasons for my said denials,” she said.
Setshwantsho told the court that she had three active businesses and could afford the bail of R3000.
The state said it would oppose bail as it has a strong case against her.
