THE Ekurhuleni Emergency Services has warned motorists and pedestrians to be on high alert following Monday's heavy rainfall.
The rain is expected to subside in the coming days.

"Once the water reaches your ankle, just turn back. The same with the motorists, don't try to navigate water, rather use alternative roads."
He cautioned drivers to also ensure their wipers are functional, tyres are up to standard and that headlights are on.
